Advantages of ICL/IPCL
1. Enhanced Visual Clarity
ICL/IPCL can dramatically improve visual acuity, often exceeding the quality achieved with glasses or contact lenses.
2. Permanent Solution
Once implanted, ICL/IPCL lenses provide a long-term vision correction solution, reducing the need for regular eye check-ups.
3. No Dry Eyes
Unlike contact lenses, ICL/IPCL doesn’t lead to dry eyes, offering superior comfort.
4. UV Protection
Some ICL/IPCL lenses offer UV protection, safeguarding your eyes from harmful rays.
Advantages of ICL/IPCL
ICL (Implantable Collamer Lens)
ICL involves placing an ultra-thin lens inside the eye, just in front of your natural lens, to correct vision problems like nearsightedness or astigmatism. It works similarly to a contact lens, but unlike contact lenses that you wear and remove daily, the ICL stays inside your eye permanently.Because it doesn’t move around and sits securely in place, the vision quality with ICL is often better than with contact lenses—especially for correcting both cylindrical and spherical errors.

ICL gives high definition vision and does not require creating corneal flap and corneal tissue removal as in LASIK, SMILE & other laser spectacle removal procedures. It also does not cause any corneal dryness as seen in LASIK, SMILE & others. There are two types – toric that corrects cylindrical as well as spherical powers and spherical where in only spherical power is corrected Very high corrections up to -20.00D and +8.00D along with 6.00D of Astigmatism can be corrected.
